Waters Roll (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Copyright 2018 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) Music and Lyrics by Jennifer Somers (BMI) and Tyler Somers (BMI) | C#m minor A-432 | 5/8 or 6/8 straight This isn't an attempt to be political This isn't an attack to try to make us feel culpable This is an invitation to watch the waters roll And write new songs, worthy of a listen I'm not trying to be the better man I just want to know the love that's held these hands And try to feel, and dream, and understand And watch those waters roll, where they never gone before Roll! Roll down! Roar loud! Resound! Resound! Over the noise of the proud, Roll down! Roll down! I have heard stories of miracles Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord I have a dream of a different world Where the waters ever-roll and the earth thirsts no more Where every color, tongue, and caste is free And all man's wickedness is finally ceased Where every mountainside hears freedom ring Where the waters ever-roll and the righteous thirst no more I'm still looking for that beauty For a love that never doubts For a dream that never dies For those waters to roll down I'm still looking for that beauty For the strength to raise a fight For the rain to raise the waters For those waters to reign high I'm still looking for that beauty I'm still looking for that beauty I'm still looking for that beauty I'm still looking for that beauty I'm still looking for that Looking for that

Lesser god (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Music and Lyrics by Jennifer Somers (BMI) and Tyler Somers (BMI) © 2018 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) - Written March 26th, 2018 | F#m A-432 | 4/4 swing I tried again to give it all, to give my all But I got lost in the shine of gold; I tried to hold that glory I chased the lights, took in praise for pride; I gave my eyes all they wanted I don’t want to write that kind of song I don’t want to give them anymore of my heart I don’t want to waste the greater love I don’t want to kiss a lesser god But I lied and ran and did it all, did it all wrong You showed me life and death, the wine and bread, and you said I love you Still I lied with them, more of me died again and I tried to spin it, like I didn't know the truth I don’t want to write that kind of song I don’t want to give them anymore I don’t want to waste the greater love I don’t want to kiss a lesser god Don’t ever let me go back; don’t ever let me go back; don’t ever let me go back; don’t let me ever go 'Cause it's you I want, you, to take me, truth, use the pure and ruined to unite this divided heart and make it soon, hold me close and form a new heart in me, where you are everything and I can hear you singing, singing to me now I don’t want to write that kind of song I don’t want to give them anymore I don’t want to write that kind of song I don’t want to give them anymore of my heart I don’t want to waste the greater love I don’t want to kiss a lesser god I don’t want to kiss a lesser god

A Boy & A Girl [We're Getting Older] (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Copyright 2017 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) Music and Lyrics by Tyler Somers (BMI) and Jennifer Somers (BMI) | C# major | 4/4 straight Yours is the voice that calls me home And when you sing I can't help but sing along You say my name and I feel different Feels like the girl in me is waking up Darling, we're getting older Your hair's getting thinner And I'm getting wider We're not the kids we once were We're a man and a woman Not a boy and a girl But I still feel like that girl sometimes Our girls are grown, don't need us much All we can give them is more and more love They say our names and we feel different Feels like our hearts can't hold enough My darling, we're getting older Your hair's getting thinner And I'm getting wider We're not the kids we once were We're a man and a woman Not a boy and a girl But I still feel like that girl sometimes Darling, we're getting older You're moving slower And I'm feeling tired We're not the kids we once were We're a man and a woman Not a boy and a girl But I still feel like that girl sometimes And you still seem like that boy almost all the time

Who I'm Not (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Music and Lyrics by Jennifer Somers (BMI) and Tyler Somers (BMI) © 2017 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) - Chorus melody written on 7/12/2017, finished on 7/13/2017 | C 432 | 4/4 straight I'm tired of being who I'm not Feels like I've given it a shot It leaves me empty and afraid When I step onto a stage Being who I'm not I pack my suitcase till it bursts Overflowing with my skirts The soles are coming off my shoes So many miles left to get through Being who I'm not These lies, they pull me till I break And numb me to the pain Like I'm sleeping Like my life is caught up in the wind Confused and questioning Who I really am, again I hardly ever understand How I fit and who I am These days are long but years are short What did my life look like before When I wasn't who I'm not You call me in You know my name Assure me that It doesn't have to be this way That I'm enough Don't have to run I'm okay; I'm okay You call my name Say I can change Secure me now I don't have to live afraid You lead me to A quiet stream There I rest; there I rest

The Sun Will Rise (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Music and Lyrics by Jennifer Somers (BMI) and Tyler Somers (BMI) © 2017 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) | E major | 4/4 straight The grass is withering, giving way to dust I'm wading in knee deep, already feeling lost It's like somebody stole the peace from my poor heart And I'm treading barren land, the sky is growing dark Lost in the shadows Can't find the road home But the sun will rise and it will shine My comforter is here, his voice upon my ear And rain will fall and I'll feel small But he'll stretch out his hand and I'll begin again I can't seem to write; it's like I'm looking at my life A story's being told and I'm just passing by It's been too long living in the in between My trust a faded line, pulled out from under me But the sun will rise and it will shine My comforter is here, his voice upon my ear And rain will fall and I'll feel small But he'll stretch out his hand and I'll begin again

O Freedom [There Will Be A Song] (Live) - Jenny & Tyler - There Will Be A Song - Copyright 2018 One Eyed Cat Music (BMI) Music and Lyrics by Tyler Somers (BMI) and Jennifer Somers (BMI) | A minor A440 | 4/4 straight Heading west past the cotton fields Highway 6 in the rain Even the trees' backs are bent and pleading For relief from the pain The air is thick like a river wide Like it's been for so, so long Ghosts, they're walking those yards of white And they're still singing the same song A song of freedom, o freedom, till it comes and good has won every fight A song of freedom, o freedom, let it come, let it run free and wild As the swallows find a new place to rest In the branches of trees unharmed We await the day where the trailers are traded For mansion rooms, each one a work of art There the pain will be no more Truer bodies will they own All their scars seen by the scars of their Lord And they'll be singing that song of old A song of freedom, o freedom, till it comes and good has won every fight A song of freedom, o freedom, let it come, let it run free and wild Those who hunger now for justice, they will be full There'll be comfort for the mourning, and sight for the pure O and the earth for the meek, and heaven for the poor Love will endure; love will endure Those who hunger now for justice, they will be full There'll be comfort for the mourning, and sight for the pure O and the earth for the meek, and heaven for the poor Love will endure; love will endure And there will be a song A song of freedom, o freedom, till it comes and good has won every fight A song of freedom, o freedom, let it come, let it run free and wild

I've always loved you Won't let you go Don't you worry Don't you hide I'll take your burdens And make them mine Be free from wandering, free to have a home Free from wondering if you'll always be alone Free from all those feelings you keep trying to ignore Come be free, free Free from anxiety, free to be at peace Free from the fear that you'll never find relief Free from all the questions that still need answering Come be free, free Come be free, free

about

On March 19, 2019, we drove to Center St. Recording Studios in Old Hickory, TN to record live selections of our album There Will Be A Song. Peter Wahlers played stick bass, Cassie Shudak viola, and Jen Rim violin. We all recorded around one ribbon mic.

We didn't have monitors or a click track, so it's raw and full of energy. It's not perfect. We hoped it wouldn't be. We wanted to capture something authentic, something that couldn't be reproduced. This is that performance.
